Hermosa Beach alley shooting was marijuana deal gone bad

The shooting in a Hermosa Beach alleyway last month was the result of a small-quantity marijuana deal gone bad, according to Hermosa Beach Police Sgt. Robert Higgins.

Police have arrested a 25-year-old Los Angeles man for the incident that occurred on Saturday March 24.

Bruce Jackson Jr. was arrested earlier this week, according to jail records.

About 3:15 p.m., March 24, police responded to the 2700 block of El Oeste Drive on reports of shots heard near the rear of a building, but when officers arrived, no one was found.
