Police arrested an Upland man and seized an unserialized ghost gun, along with five jars of marijuana and a scale, after pulling a driver over for a traffic violation in Pasadena on Thursday night, officials said.
Officers stopped a car for a violation at about 11:15 p.m. at Orange Grove Boulevard and Raymond Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess said.
The driver initially refused to get out of the car, but ultimately complied, he said.
A loaded, .40-caliber unserialized ‘ghost gun’ was found in the driver’s pocket, according to Burgess. Inside the car, officers found five jars of marijuana and a scale.
Darius Thomas Johnson, 31, of Upland was arrested on suspicion of gun- and drug-related charges, according to police and Los Angeles County booking records.
Bail was set at $100,000 pending his initial court appearance.
