Long gone are the days of Bill Clinton’s famous line “I didn’t inhale.” Former first lady Michelle Obama has written candidly about her childhood marijuana use in her just-released memoir, “Becoming.” She is following in the footsteps of her husband, President Barack Obama, who has always been candid about his toker past as well.
In a recent interview with Robin Roberts on 20/20, while promoting the book, Mrs. Obama was candid about why she included the marijuana use when she could have just as easily left it out.
“That’s what I did,” she told Roberts, “That’s part of the becoming story. Everybody had something that they had to work through, something that they were figuring out.”
